I was a big fan of the shareware product ws_ftp for Windows and was
disappointed that I lost this fantastic utility when I switched to Linux.
But I am extremely happy to find WXftp. This utility will save me an awful
lot of headaches that can be attributed to using the more traditional
FTP program.

Please do not compair this product ot ws-ftp or ws-ftp pro.
I know the interface looks similar, but the resume download
actually works with wxftp.
We need to see more apps like this for Linux.

very coool program.
some things that would make it cooler:
-Sort file listing on remote, (the directories at the top)
-make it so user can specify maximum logins at the same time to a host
-there is a bug, a directory named "-------Upload Here------" doesn't show
up.

Looks nice. What do you get for multiple copies
of this WXFTP stuff with docs?
By the way it would be nice if you could slide the file
name filed in the area where you have name/date/etc.
Also, do you have such for SUN OS or does it only run
on i386 Systems.

wXftp is a very nice program. A linux FTP client at it's finest.
ps... The code is well structured and clean. ansi c complient,
and a very happy addition to my box.

I Love This Proggie!!! I used to have WS_FTP in my Windows machine and
fortunately (yes, fortunately) it's hard disk...well, it got damaged very badly.
The next step was Linux and I found the world of the nice cute penguin!

Very good ftp client...thanks for yr good work! Just some suggestions you
might be interested: I would be nice to have a sorting option for directories
and files and I guess a abort fuction would be handy. It seems that that's no
way to stop an action such as grapping the whole directory down (you have to
press cancel for every single file exist in that directory). Anyway, it's
still one of best X ftp client out there :)

I just installed WXftp, and tested it by downloading my website into the linux
machine. WXftp works great!
Used to use "cuteftp" in windows, and WXftp has all the features I need in an
FTP program. Now I can do all my website maintenence in linux.

I've installed it directly after copying and
it looks how it should.
Functionality - that's of course question of time and
testing. Just directly I've seen that if I wrote not correct
password and then removed it, no question about password
was sent by system (probably it use old one).

was looking for a ftp client for X. I was sick of the ftp command ;)

WxFTP is a great program!!!! You did an excellent job! I just
installed version 0.4.0 and compiled it with GTk+ 1.0.5 on
Slackware 3.5 (1.0.35 kernel) with no problems!!!

The MkDir Command does not seem to work...
I agree with many of this guestbook:
You should use the GNU-License (and of course GNU Automake and Autoconf to make
things like "make install" and make "uninstall" work without problems)
